I specialise in working with women in mid-life, between 35 and 60 years old. Usually with long-term health and wellbeing issues, neurospiciness and/or perimenopause and menopausal challenges. I do, however, see women for a wide-range of reasons and at various ages, eg. my current client age range is 16 to 75. Feel free to contact me to see if I could support you in any way.

Over the last 30 years, I've developed a unique, tried and tested method for finding and maintaining true balance in daily life. This has been carefully curated from my deeep studies; extensive, wide-ranging client work; a multiculti, bilingual family with a rainbow of neurodiversity, mental and physical health issues; plus my own challenges with serious, long-term conditions. I've carefully woven together the most powerful and precious techniques into a clear, highly effective method for true freedom. It can help you navigate difficulties, manage illness and reduce symptoms to find clarity and live the life you want to lead. This includes developing your ability to receive the abundant gifts of nature to strengthen your own powerful healing skills.

About me - how my life led me to yours
I've always been fascinated by people and originally worked as a psychologist in the NHS. I soon wanted to offer clients more holistic support for their wellbeing, becoming a shiatsu practitioner in my early 20s, later adding Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and reiki. To help clients feel more empowered to look after themselves, I trained to teach chi gong, yoga for children, then adults; plus meditation and mindfulness. My work has always informed my neurospicy family life and visa versa. There’s 6 of us and I’ve learned how to fine-tune in to myself and others to help navigate the different combinations of our unique nervous systems.
I’ve run a busy, full-time practice for over 30 years, helping clients find their personal, true balance in life; to ease symptoms of stress and dis-ease and enjoy more peace and joy. For me, it’s about starting where we are, today, right now, rather than waiting for something to change before we prioritise our health and happiness.
Shit happens. It’s how we deal with it that matters. We all deserve to feel deep contentment, fulfilment and travel our path with presence and grace. But life isn’t easy and we all need help and support to make the most of whatever comes our way.
I’ve learned a lot from the ups and downs that the universe sends us. I was always very active, enjoying working and playing hard, until a serious back injury in 1994 completely changed my life. I’ve had chronic pain ever since, which I managed really well until a couple of years ago, when I suddenly needed major back surgery. I was already seriously ill from the wrong dose of a medication. This caused severely debilitating symptoms including dangerous vital signs, landing me several times in A&E. My instincts were finally proven correct and I stopped taking the medication, but the damage left me with severe Chronic Fatigue.
Always one to do everything fully, I was also diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)! Thankfully, still at a very low level. My humour, optimism, self-shiatsu and mindfulness practices kept me sane and helped me heal. I was extremely ill for 4 years and am happy to say that I now feel fantastic! I would never have chosen such an intense challenge but I’m honestly grateful for the lessons I’ve learned. They’ve shaped how I help myself and others develop deep balance and vibrant health. There is nothing more important than your wellbeing. Everything else follows.
My aim with True Balance is to offer a truly safe space where we all feel able to be our real selves, just how we are. To be powerfully present to cultivate our awareness and resilience, and strengthen our connection and acceptance of ourselves and others. We also have a good laugh!
